Intro Post

Hello, friends (and family), whether from lj or my actual life. (Yes, I do have one.) I created this journal specifically to talk about my recent trip to Madagascar, and to post way too many of the photos I took there. I wrote the journal along the way, though I reserve the right to correct any typos I notice or clarify things as I transfer it over here. And I apologize for the number of pictures, but if it's any consolation, I'm only inflicting a tiny fraction of my ouevre on you. Still, if you're on dial-up, bring along a book to read while things load.

Feel free to read as much or as little of my ramblings as you want, and if all you're here for is to look at pictures, that's totally cool. If you're not an lj user and you decide to comment, all I ask is that you sign your name (a first name is plenty), just so I'll know you came by.

And if you know anyone else who would be interested in seeing lots of lemurs, feel free to send them over. Unlike my personal lj, this one isn't friends-locked, so any- and everyone is welcome.

And that seems to be more than enough for an intro. The next post you see will be me yakking from the airport, and then it will be on to the good stuff.

G'day -

Just dropping a note to let you know that I started looking things over, but I quickly realized (happily, mind you) that I would need to devote more time than I had today to really enjoy everything you posted, so I'll be back for a more detailed gander soon.

By the way, I mentioned your Madagascar trip with its lemur emphasis to Sherry, and she replied that she "loves lemurs!" so I expect that she'll be stopping by as well.
